We intentionally keep only a small number of horses in our training program so each horse receives premium nutrition, superior grooming, individualized conditioning, and 5 days of purposeful training each week. Besides teaching ground manners and riding skills, we also eliminate common problems faced by horse owners. Your new horse will not only be well-trained, but also be free of common problems. Your horse will be “Easy to catch, Easy to mount, Easy to load”, and more. We want you to spend your time enjoying your ride, not frustrated before your ride even begins!
Here’s just a sampling of a few things your new horse will learn while in our 6-Step “Level Up Certification Training Program”:
Level 1: Foundation- Catching, haltering, leading, picking up feet, tying, trailer loading, yielding hindquarters/shoulders, obstacles, desensitization, lunging, emotional control, and more
Level 2: Connection- Mounting quietly, walk, stop, steering, softening, trot, lope departure, transitions, body parts control under saddle, and more
Level 3: Control- Neck reining, sidepass, turn on forehand, collection, serpentines, circles, figure-8’s, advanced transitions, steer while backing, further softening, and more
Level 4: Refinement- Lead departures, lead changes, flying lead changes, rollbacks, spins, rhythm, invisible cue responses, Western patterns, and more
Level 5: Confidence- Trail riding, water crossing, bridges, poles, gates, logs, traffic, dogs, hills, livestock, riding alone/in groups, spook in place, tarps, and more
Level 6: Certification- Final Exam. Amateur rider or prospective buyer performs appropriate maneuvers for intended use. Horse is calm, willing, and reliable. Horse is Certified!

HayDash Delivery Service
Running Low on Hay, Supplies, or Looking to Stock Up?
We've got you covered. Level Up Horses offers dependable hay delivery of small square bales from the hay supplier of your choice. While we don't grow or sell hay ourselves, we'll pick it up from your favorite local producer and deliver it directly to your barn, often faster than the grower is able to. And, yes, we can stack it, too.
Down to your last few bales? Give us a call. If you’re down to your last bales, we'll do our best to provide same-day delivery and help keep your horses fed. We also offer convenient weekly or monthly scheduled deliveries. We can also arrange to bring you pre-purchased feed, shavings, or other supplies for pick-up. Either way, call whenever you need us, and we'll be there as soon as we can. Serving Powhatan County, Virginia and surrounding area.
Horse Consignment Sales
Selling a horse you’ve loved and cared for can be every bit as emotional as it is time-consuming. At Level Up Horses, we take that burden off your shoulders. Our consignment program provides your horse with Champion Care throughout the sales process, including quality boarding, individualized training, professional grooming, and superior nutritional feed. We then present your horse at its best with professional photography and video designed to do more than show what your horse looks like, but to tell its story and create an emotional connection with the right buyer.
We handle inquiries, answer questions, screen prospective buyers, coordinate appointments, and host demonstration rides, so you don’t have to deal with endless messages or tire-kickers. Most importantly, we understand that selling a horse can be emotionally difficult, so we become the buffer between you and the process.
